The People the Broadcasts Never Mention

Every broadcast about "the attacks" leaves out the people who were harmed first โ€” and ignored longest. This page says their names in roles, because that is all that was ever given to us.

I do not condone any attacks. Not one. I am not writing to excuse a single act of violence against anyone โ€” I am writing to ask why the people who were harmed in the quiet years never made the broadcast either.

In 2020, when everyone was locked down, I was the medical secretary. I was the hospital porter. I was the domestic. We went to work while the world stayed home โ€” and we were paid less for going. We paid for the food, we paid for the transport, and we were left with less wages to care whether we would survive the harm any longer.

And every single day since, this has been reported. Every day. And every day, ignored.

Now the broadcasts talk about attacks on a former UK Prime Minister, and every one of them says the word "politically motivated." Something is fishy. Not in the attacks โ€” in the attention. When the powerful are touched, the whole country is asked to care. When the real LGBT community is abused, ignored and excluded in our own homes, there is no broadcast at all.

We got attacked. I ended up waking up married โ€” and when I reported it to a doctor, I got more abuse from law enforcement. That is what happens to us: the harm gets a case number, and we get the blame.

So this page exists to step it up. Every broadcast that doesn't mention us โ€” this is the mention. The medical secretary. The hospital porter. The domestic. The gay man who woke up married. The people who worked through the lockdown for less โ€” and have been reporting ever since.

We were never the attackers. We were the ones who kept going to work.
